Bani Folk Band - Georgian fire
Georgia has very rich choir culture and only few countries around the world could compare to that culture. Georgian polyvalent singing is special due to three voice technique and all Georgian song and dance culture is very rich and versatile. The choir singing is one of the things that reflects national Georgian authenticity and is recognized by UNESCO as a world’s masterpiece of polyphony. This unique singing style was formed during centuries and was transmitted from generation to generation. You will be introduced to this tradition by seven rich voices of men from Georgian folk band “Bani”.
Carlos Johnson vs Chris Cain and “Luca Giordano band” (USA)

Or the music that was started in 2-4 decades in Memphis and that has elements of early jazz and many folk sounds and has relations with blues Mecca – Beale Street. Carlos Johnson (USA) will represent Chicago blues, Chris Cain (USA) will represent Memphis and everything will be connected into harmony by “Luca Giordano band” (Italy).

clubs. Istanbul is full of varieties but it also contains an alternative side of its own. Can you imagine

These are the reasons that have made nomads to change their life style and assimilate or move to the outermost regions of the world.

Vardan Hovanissian and Emre Gültekin (Armenia/Turkey)
Vardan Hovanissian is master of an instrument called duduk and Emre Gültekin is master of a sazo instrument. They are going to introduce their first album together called “Adana”. This album is dedicated to commemorate the sixth anniversary of Armenian nation’s genocide.

Huun Huur Tu ir Etran Finatawa (Tuva Republic/Niger)
For the first time two bands from diffrent sides of the world meet on “GM Gyvai” stage – “Etran Finatawa” from Niger and “Huun-Huur-Tu” from Tuva Republic. A combination of these two bands is unexpected and extraordinary. This combination merges music of two nomad tribes from western Africa (tuaregs and wodaabe) in the hot Sahara desert and a music of tempered nomad tribes from Tuva steppe. These two bands are both original and distinctive and a creative work that is produced from these two bands is going to be a treat for gourmands of music.
